The four-team effort will consist of IMSA and WEC teams for a true global effort at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Cadillac is set to return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the 2025 running and will bring four teams along for the French endurance classic. All four cars will compete for the Hypercar class trophy and challenge the best Europe will offer like Peugeot, Alpine, Porsche, and more.

Wayne Taylor Racing with the Dex Imaging number 101 Cadillac V-Series.R will be driven by Ricky Tayler leading the team while Action Express Racing will bring the Whelen Engineering 311 car lead by Jack Aitken.

Other drivers for both of those cars will be announced later, but this is the third year that Action Express has raced in France while Ricky Taylor has raced at lemans for multiple teams between 2013 and 2023. Despite Ricky’s experience, this will be the first time that Wayne Taylor Racing will be racing at Le Mans.

Jota Sport, meanwhile, will bring its two FIA WEC entries of the number 12 and number 38 Hertz sponsored Cadillac V-Series.R cars with drivers Jenson Button, Earl Bamber, Sebastien Bourdais, Alex Lynn, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens.

While the Hypercar class is very close to IMSAs GTP class with both being hybrid-electric prototype racers, there are differences. The major one is total power output, which is common among all cars in Hypercar and limited to around 670 hp total output. Otherwise, the Cadillac V-Series.R is powered by the same a 5.5-liter double overhead camshaft (DOHC) V8 it is in IMSA GTP. This includes the 67 hp Bosch-supplied Motor Generator Unit (MGU) as per the LMDh ruleset. Unlike a few entries in Hypercar, the Cadillac engine is naturally aspirated and brings about a unique sound amongst the field of V12s and turbocharged V6s.
