Order books have opened at Ram for the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, and its factory-direct aftermarket parts arm, Direct Connection, will offer performance parts right alongside the Rumble Bee Hemi. But when will the 392, 392 Track Pack, and SRT versions become available?

Launch Schedule & Pricing

Key Figures: $62,790 Base MSRP | Q4 2026 Launch | 395 HP

The widebody fenders equipped on the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee are necessary since the front and rear track widths are around 7 inches wider than the standard 2027 Ram 1500.

Order books are open for the standard 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 variant of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee. Starting at $62,790, Ram is offering buyers a high-performance “muscle truck” that makes 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, arriving on dealer lots in Q4 of this year. If you want the more powerful versions, you’ll need to wait a bit longer. The Rumble Bee 392, 392 Track Pack, and Rumble Bee SRT won’t launch until the first half of 2027. Those three versions will also come at higher prices, with the 392 starting at $72,790, the Track Pack at $82,790, and the SRT arriving with a $97,790 MSRP.

Frame & Suspension

Key Specs: 13-Inch Shorter Wheelbase | +7-Inch Track Width | Bilstein Monotube Dampers

You can see that the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is shorter than your standard 2027 Ram 1500 Quad Cab Short Bed pickup truck.

Although the 2027 Rumble Bee won’t come with the most powerful engine under its hood, it still packs impressive gear from the factory. First, it’s a unique version of the 2027 Ram 1500, as the Rumble Bee Quad Cab short-bed is 13 inches shorter than the same configuration of the regular 1500. That wasn’t done just to make it different; the shorter frame helps reduce frame flex by 10% and should be noticeable to anyone who tracks their truck. This also means components like brake lines, fuel lines, and the wiring harness from the B-pillar back are all unique to the Rumble Bee.

And it will need all the rigidity it can get, as it also comes with a set of 22x10-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 285/45R22 all-season tires. That is the optional wheel and tire package for the Rumble Bee; the even wider 305/50R20 on a 20x10 wheel arrives later as the standard size.

As part of its standard suspension, the 2027 Rumble Bee 5.7-liter rides on a modified version of its coil spring suspension system. The front utilizes a short-long arm system that adds 6.8 inches to the front track width versus the standard 1500, and the rear uses a five-link system with a live axle that is 7 inches wider than the factory 1500 rear axle. Controlling those arms and links is a set of Bilstein monotube dampers, and stouter anti-roll bars (or stabilizer bars, if you prefer) keep body roll in check. The coil springs can also be swapped out for Ram’s air suspension system, which lowers the Rumble Bee’s ride height at highway speeds.

Exterior Styling

Key Facts: Wider Fenders | Bespoke Mirrors | Factory Graphic Options

With such wide wheels and the increase in track width, the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee needed a new body. The fenders are wider than the factory stock Ram 1500, and body-color fender flares add a functional, aggressive look to the Rumble Bee, which is further enhanced by its unique front grille. It also features smaller outside mirrors bespoke to the Rumble Bee and a first for any Ram pickup. You can order the body in multiple colors, including Detonator Yellow, Molten Red, and Ceramic Gray, with optional factory Rumble Bee bedside graphics.

Braking System

Key Specs: 14.9-Inch Front Rotors | Pin-Slider Calipers | Some Shared 1500 Hardware

Getting up to speed is the fun part, but when you’re ready to tackle those corners, you need a way to whoa down the 2027 Rumble Bee 5.7-liter. That task is handled by the brake system that uses 14.9x1.2-inch vented rotors clamped by 2.2-inch two-piston pin-slider calipers up front, while the rear uses 14.8x0.87-inch rotors with 2.2-inch single-piston pin-slider calipers.

The significance of the calipers being “pin-slider” is that these are conventional calipers seen on most road vehicles, and the ones on the 2027 Rumble Bee 5.7-liter are the same units used on the standard 2027 Ram 1500. Many high-performance vehicle variants utilize fixed calipers with four or more pistons.

In a pin-slider caliper, the piston or pistons sit on the inboard side and force the outside brake pad to slide toward the rotor. Fixed calipers are more rigid but complicated to manufacture, whereas pin-sliders flex more but are easier to produce. It also means brake pads and calipers are interchangeable between the standard 1500 and the Rumble Bee.

Powertrain & Drivetrain

Key Specs: 5.7-Liter Hemi V-8 | Disconnectable 4WD | 3.92:1 Gearing

The first batch of 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee pickups will be the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 version with the rest following in 2027.

Powering this first batch of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is the aforementioned 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine. Although it skips the eTorque and start/stop technology, this Rumble Bee Hemi utilizes a multi-displacement system. This fuel-saving strategy cuts power and reduces pumping losses on cylinders 2 through 5 during light-load driving.

The Hemi is backed by the TorqueFlite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic that can be manually shifted via paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. It’s mated to a BorgWarner 48-11 transfer case with full-time active 4WD. However, that 4WD function can be disabled by a button next to the G/T console shifter, allowing the Rumble Bee to send all its power to the rear wheels—and you know exactly why they chose to do that. The 5.7-liter Hemi Rumble Bee comes with 3.92:1 gearing in its axle housings, with an open differential as the standard offering. A limited-slip differential will become available later in the Rumble Bee’s production cycle.

Direct Connection Upgrades

Key Upgrades: 600-HP Supercharger | Ridetech Suspension | MagnaFlow Exhaust

Direct Connection is Ram's factory-backed aftermarket performance parts division and will offer parts for the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 shortly after launch.

Despite the fact that the first 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee won’t be the supercharged version, Ram offers a kit from Direct Connection that bumps the Hemi’s 395 hp to “more than 600 hp” for $10,995 MSRP. It’s part of the factory aftermarket upgrades available shortly after the truck arrives on dealer lots.

Other Direct Connection parts include an upgraded suspension developed with Ridetech for $4,950, a MagnaFlow performance exhaust for $1,599, and a dealer-installed graphics package in gloss black and Ceramic Gray. Because these aftermarket parts are designed and distributed with Direct Connection’s backing, they come with a warranty and are serviceable by your local Ram dealer. The only catch for buyers is that those prices don’t include installation, which depends on your local dealer’s labor rates.
